Originally from Georgia, I attended the University of Georgia and Valdosta State University where I received a B.S. degree in biology. I next attended the Medical College of Georgia receiving an M.D. degree. After that I completed a residency in pediatrics at University of Florida at Shands Jacksonville and later completed a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Louisiana State University and Tulane University.
My practice is located in Jacksonville and Orange Park, Florida in adult and pediatric allergy, asthma and immunology since 1991. I am board certified and maintain current re-certification status by being actively involved with Maintenance of Certification program offered by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. This, I believe, is absolutely necessary to remain up to date in such a complex and changing specialty.
In addition to my medical practice, I am on the editorial board of the journal, Pediatric Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology, the board of directors of the Duval County Medical Society as well as being actively involved in both state and national allergy societies. I am also a member of the Joint Commission of Allergy and Immunology.
